English Requirements
UOW requires all international students to demonstrate English proficiency.
Most courses require: IELTS 6.0 for undergraduate study and IELTS 6.5 for postgraduate study.
Equivalent scores in TOEFL, PTE and Cambridge exams are also accepted.

You are typically eligible if you have completed the Vietnamese Higher Secondary Certificate with the GPA from 7.5 (out of 10).
UOW will assess your overall score and school results to determine if they meet the required entry band for the course.
You’ll need a recognised Bachelor’s degree from a Vietnamese university.
Eligibility is assessed on whether your GPA or graded average matches the equivalent level of an Australian Bachelor's degree.

For Kayla Crofts, nursing is more than a job – it’s a powerful legacy of female-led caregiving. Graduated from UOW’s Bega Valley campus in 2022, Kayla is continuing this strong maternal tradition in her own community.
Kayla credits the hands-on experience she gained through the Bachelor of Nursing program as pivotal to her confidence on the job. “I was able to work in the hospital for one shift a week and I used the skills that I had learnt at university,” she explains.
